Go Girl Sundre 2007 is an energy packed one-day get active conference for teenaged girls (10 and up)

Go Girl Promotes healthy Life Style Choices

Go Girl was a one day get active workshop for pre teen and teen girls (10 and up)

The goal of this event was to encourage and support young girls in choosing an active, healthy lifestyle.
This one day experience in which teenaged girls were invited to see-and-try a variety of physical activities and sports and access resources on how to continue participating in these activities. They also had the opportunity to participate in sessions and information on nutrition, body image and wellness issues.

Go Girl was a great opportunity for girls to move beyond some of the barriers to participating in physical activity.

Go Girl was well received at a total of 47 girls participating. Greenwood Neighbourhood Place worked with several organizations in the community including Sundre AquaPlex, Sundre Community Dance, Sundre Kayak Club, David Thompson Health Region, Alberta Mental Health and Curves. Without there support this event would of never been the success that it was. Keep Going Girls!
