Sundre Interagency Meetings are being changed up
There is not a better way than to introduce lunch!

Greenwood Neighbourhood Place recognizes the importance of hosting an Interagency Meeting. These meetings provide the opportunity to share information, update information on new services and programs, meet new people and bring community issues to the table. Greenwood Neighbourhood Place also recognizes the importance of people’s time in a very hectic world. The Interagency Meetings will be held over the lunch hour, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm; allowing you to participate, connect and get informed, while enjoying a hot lunch on us!

All meetings take place at the Public Library #2 310 Centre Street N, Sundre.

The next meeting will take place on on Thursday, March 4th, 2010

For lunch order purposes, an early reply to this email would be appreciated if you are able to attend.

The meeting time has been shortened from previous meetings; please email any program information to be distributed in a reminder email that will be sent out next week. This will allow everyone to review your information ahead of time.

If you have any programs, workshops or community events happening let us know. We would like to:

o  add them to our community bulletin
o  add them to our webpage
o  include as many as possible in our Sundre on the Go newsletter.

Thank you! See you there!

INTENT of the MEETINGS:
EXPLORING NEW IDEAS TO FORM A CO-OPERATIVE FOR A COMMON NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY
These needs could be:
- Communication (newsprint, advertisement, publication of events, community calendar, information sharing etc)
- Transportation
- Community Capacity Building

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Any representatives of a service organization, group or community association that is operating in the Sundre area.
This session will give an overview of the co-operative model including how it is distinct from other types of organizations and some examples of its diverse applications.
Co-operatives provide a means for a group to meet their common needs. Worldwide, they are present in almost every sector including for-profit and non-profit endeavors.
